西迪克-乌尔-拉赫曼·拉纳是巴基斯坦工商业联合会的创始主席，致力于加强中国产业和商业联系，并建立了中小企业发展中心。自1999年至今，担任巴基斯坦技术交流协作公司负责人。2005年起担任巴基斯坦商务部对华自由贸易区及经济战略顾问。
